As a teacher and grad student, I started Whyte’s Web Design as an offshoot of a master’s project in 2006. I graduated from the University of Richmond with a major in studio art and  elementary education.  As a teacher in Montgomery County, MD for over 5 years, I could never shake my creative bug and wanted to renew my artistic endeavors. I am currently pursing a master’s degree at Johns Hopkins University in Technology for Educators and was appointed webmaster for my school in 2005 and have developed our school site into one of the best in the county. 

I started off redesigning the school website, developing my class website, and mastering Dreamweaver in the process.  My objective in learning website design initially was to meet the needs of our students, parents and community but as others pointed out I had a talent for design and my arts background gave me the stepping stones I needed to begin designing for others.  Since then, I have added the title of webmaster for Creative Video of Washington and designed websites for other many companies in the Capital region.
